Things I hate about Bollywood

As said in my previous post  THE TRENDSETTER , Here is the Justification :P
It's not that I don't watch Bollywood movies at all.I do but only a few.
And in every movie they have romance, regardless  the genre of the movie.
There are movies like  Lunchbox, Parched, Ugly, Udaan(Thank God for Torrents 🤐) which are great on storylines.I wonder how many  of them have watched these movies. And on the other hand they make Happy New Year , Dabbaangg (IDC about the spelling) kind of SENSELESS movies..

Gone are the days when I used to love watching Big Khan's movies, recent being Dangal(of course) of Aamir Khan and Chak De! India of  Shahrukh Khan(yet to watch My Name is Khan).

And coming to the main topic things which I hate...

Item Songs : I don't get why the filmmakers add such poor songs. At one point we are asked to respect the females and on the other we call them as a thing, an item isn't that really bad ?
(ashamed to put a pic on it)

No Story Structure : Most of the storylines are kind of the same, cheesy one. A guy loves a girl. He tries everything to impress her. Finally she falls in love. Then a villian appears. The hero fights him. and they both happily ever after. The end.
Bollywood movies cast lead actresses just for glamour and to stand along the lead actor.

Writers don't get recognized : The script is the backbone of any film but if  asked some to name a writer of the current phase, hardly anyone knows.

No one knows to act. Seriously, if you want to be a Bollywood actor, you don't need to have talent to act. All you need is to be fair, tall, can dance or more simple you just have to be son/daughter whose parents are in the industry.

Stereotyping : In lot of movies they project a guy from a certain religion or caste in a wrong way. They hardly take efforts to learn their culture or adding details to the characters
I have never seen a South Indian who keeps on saying  ai-ya-yoo or a marwadi who is money-minded  and Tamilians don't have a funny accent. The worst portrayal could be of Sardars the Sardars in real life are completely opposite than shown in movies.

Remaking from other languages : Seriously!! Are you so lazy to write your own script. And even if they remake movies they make in the worst way possible. They even don't want to take a risk of experimenting new scripts.Recent one being OK Janu from OK Kanmni(Tamil), they didnt even tried to change the screenplay. As few are into IMDB ratings, OK Janu is Rated 4.9 whereas OK Kanmani has 7.4.You decide!
Traffic(Malayalam), the movie was one of the best scripts Malayali audience has ever seen, but when remade into Hindi was an utter flop.maybe it didn't have a great starcast.Another point!

Insane fans - Shahrukh Khan, Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar, they have umpteen number of fans. Happy New Year was a shitty movie, Bajrangi Bhaijaan was a baseless drama and Houseful 3 .(You know this but you can't say among fans.)
And I am not saying that Shahrukh Khan and Akshay Kumar are not great actors, but their fans always tend to rejoice only their poor choices. For instance, Fan, Special 26 were declared average profits.

I can never say that every movie Bollywood makes is a crap. Certainly there are some classic movies which deserves appreciation. They have talented actors like Nana Patekar, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Irfan Khan etc.
Movies like Ugly and Masaan(haven't watched this one yet) never get appreciation they deserve.

Enough Said!!

Image : As long as there are movies in India, you can always make fools out of  people.

If I have hurted your feelings in anyway, I just want you to know, from the bottom of my heart, IDGAF!
