As a person growing up in the 90's and 2000's we had no other option
rather than watching saas bahu serials. But during 2004 in came Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, which was
liked by many audience.Wished they had created more seasons but the series was not followed by any similar
quality ones and Indian soap operas were only fighting for TRPs(Television Rating Point).
Now
if you are from India and need entertainment, you can watch movies.
Most of which are from an entire different planet, though some are enjoyable but mostly
not realistic.
You can watch cricket, but then there's overdose but good test cricket happens mostly outside India(And I miss Dravid.)
If you are good for nothing, you can also watch Bigg Boss and Roadies which even stink out of TV.
But if you want something that has punches, drama, dialogues, humour, suspense ,some insane level stupidity and looking for inspirational. Then watch TVF Pitchers.

The
first series that TVF produced under the TVF Drama segment was TVF’s
Permanent Roommates,which was the
first RomCom web series in India. It received a good response but not
many of them watched it as it was a romantic series (Even I watched
it after Pitchers).
But TVF Pitchers changed
the scene completely for TVF,
Though a major part was praising the brilliant screenplay ,but there were few who said it was a copy of Silicon Valley.I did watch all the seasons of SV(which I didnt like) but I didnt find anything similar between them. The startup idea was different, the characters, the script.Pitchers script was intelligent, intellectual and
humorous.I might agree to the fact that the theme might be an inspiration from SV as TVF did the same with Barely Speaking
with Arnab which was taken from Between Two Ferns, but still they both are different.
The time at which TVF Pitchers was released was also the time when various Indian startups were in their initial stages and people associated with the startups could relate to the series.
The series also featured real life CEO's of various startups of that time. Some of them, were Free Charge’s Kunal Shah and FlatChat’s Gaurav Munja.

There are shows which can be viewed twice or thrice, but this show is beyond comparison with them.
The post is already lengthy so not getting into whole story...
First and foremost reason to watch Pitchers would be the writer Biswapati Sarkar
Man this guy has got it all. The amount of credibility, awesomeness this guy is having is unbelievable. He has done a stellar job with his beautiful writing.
And Vaibhav Bundhoo's amazing musical talent created an amazing masterpiece 'One step at a time' I can't stop listening to it.
Were many intersting quotes throughout the series..
1. Watching Naveen Bansal’s monologue on how he failed
but yet chose to stand and face the crowd was PHENOMENAL!!!
I almost had tears. Well, just almost.
I almost had tears. Well, just almost.
2.While
everyone was talking about Naveen's speech, no one even cared about
Mandal's speech in the last few minutes of season finale episode 5.
3.The instance when the manager of company
says..
Text: "When graduates of this country gets bored of their 9-5 jobs then to come out they look upto only three options : MBA, IAS & Start-up."
4The Jury Room:
In that episode where Naveen's friends question him about the
efficiency of tossing a coin,he proceeds to tell them that the right
decision isn't in the coin, its in the heart.
Text: "Decision was taken on the basis of tossing the coin, not on the result of it".
6. I realized that we have to sacrifice if we want to achieve something in life.Life is all about taking risks.
Text: "We can only find out once we take the road. But if we stay struck here in this traffic, then definetly you will miss the flight."
7.
Now I understand more about how the start-up scene really looks like,
though a very little was been shown in the series.
8.There is always a smile when different scenes pop up in my mind, just because of their perfect timing. Every scene has a meaning and a reason behind it.
9. I had put the opening score as my ringtone, the track which plays at the beginning of each episode
10. I have learnt the correct spelling of entrepreneurs.

Text: " To be an entrepreneurs you dont need the spelling but the spirit."
If you havent watched it yet.I request you to watch first 15minutes and the rest will follow... 😉
